At LS2's headquarters in Barcelona, Spaid, the company's helmet designers interviewed touring riders, adventurists and commuters, then set out to design the ultimate in a modular style motorcycle helmet.The LS2 Metro V3 modular adventure motorcycle helmet is one of the most innovative flip-up style helmets ever developed. Three lightweight, aerodynamic shell sizes allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible, using LS2’s proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) with nanotechnology. It’s essentially an aramid fiber shell encased in advanced polymers.
A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and a solid detent is located at the top so it won’t drop unexpectedly. The chin bar has large, adjustable intake ports, giving the rider ventilation similar to an MX helmet. The removable sun visor adjusts upward as the chin bar is raised. The shield on the Metro V3 is optically correct and comes with LS2’s FogFighter insert for the maximum in fog protection. The UV and scratch resistant shield can be changed quickly and easily without tools.
The Metro V3 uses our Twin Shield System drop down tinted sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric and is easy to keep as fresh as new. The Metro V3's cheek pads use ultra-high quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2’s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots.
Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. A DOT approved quick release chinstrap makes it a breeze to get the helmet off and on your head. The Metro V3 is homologated as both a full face and an open face helmet by ECE 22.05.
