The BMW Boxer rear final drive is unprotected and exposed to anything that may hit it from below. A high curb, a protruding rock or just the common stone chipping on a gravel road can cause expensive damage to the light metal casing of the rear drive.
BMW accessory specialist Wunderlich knows how to prevent such damage. They have developed a Final Drive Protection Plate, a very effective, highly resistant guard for the current water-cooled Boxers, that has been successfully proven and tested on the streets as well as in off-road situations. The sleek and discreet construction of stainless steel is 3 millimeters (0.11 inches) thick and powder coated black. Installation is easy and doesn’t require any modifications to the bike. The Final Drive Protection Plate isn't only for the GS! This part also fits the R, RS and RT models.
